Description

The Silver Betty Lamp is a symbol of learning. The design is of Dutch origin and was used as late as 1790 for lighting spaces. The dangling hook is made to straighten for hanging on nails or rope. This lamp was presented to the E. Lee Trinkle Library by members of the Home Economics Club at its discontinuing of the degree of Bachelor of Science in Home Economics in 1968.
