Description
Green felt goat emblem trimmed in orange thread. There are two identical goat emblems in the collection. These emblems represent the "Goat" in the rivalry between the Devil/Goat distinctions. This campus tradition began in 1926-1927 and pitted the "Devils", sophomore and seniors graduating in an odd year, against the "Goats" freshmen and juniors graduating in an even year. Devil/Goat Day culminated in the spring with field day type events held on the lawn of Westmoreland or Ball Circle.
