Description
Four pocket patches of assorted sizes each with the Mary Washington College Seal of a Spinning Wheel and Torch. The symbolism is among Mary Washington's oldest icons. "Pro Deo Domo Patria" or "For God, Home, and Country" is the College's motto. In 2004 the torch was updated with a hand holding it and the spinning wheel was replaced by a book cover dated "1908," the year of the school's founding.
